At Tholkappiyar Tamil School, we follow the comprehensive curriculum and textbooks provided by the American Tamil Academy (ATA). This ensures our students receive structured, age-appropriate Tamil language education that aligns with internationally recognized standards. Each course is designed to nurture language skills, cultural awareness, and a strong foundation in Tamil literacy, guided by ATA’s proven academic framework.
Age Group:
From four to five years old.
Eligibility:
No basic qualification is required.
Objective:
Students in this level will learn about the Uyir (vowel) letters, a few songs and stories, and approximately fifty simple words.
Language Skills:
Recognition of Uyir (vowel) and Aayutha letters.
Counting from one to ten.
Learning the names of vegetables, fruits, and plants.
Learning the names of animals, sea creatures, insects, and body parts.
Identifying names of colors, tastes, directions, seasons, and shapes.
Practice in simple writing and drawing pictures.
Singing in groups, having conversations, and sharing general knowledge stories.
Pronouncing sentences clearly.
